Project Overview

  • Overview: Led Wakati’s extended partnership with Journey Magazine and Venom Proz during Fall 2024 semester.

    Goal: build a strong brand presence on FAMU’s campus during the 2024 homecoming celebration in recognition of Wakati’s 5-year anniversary.

    My Role: Managed event logistics, activations, and social media deliverables from the Venom Proz team, ensuring brand consistency throughout the planning and execution stages.

    • August- November 2024

    • Kickoff of Wakati’s first week of events on FAMU’s campus, in collaboration with the School of Journalism and Graphic Communication and Venom Proz PR Agency.

    • Key activities included a recruitment table during the career fair, natural hair panel discussion, anniversary celebration reception, and guerrilla marketing presence at Set Friday.

    • Various social media posts and collaborations between Wakati, FAMU’s School of Journalism and Graphic Communication and Venom Proz PR Agency. Posts range from event announcements/ reminders to event recaps.

  • Despite budget constraints, Wakati successfully built a strong brand presence during FAMU’s 2024 Homecoming. While we are still awaiting social media analytics reports from our social agency, the Venom Proz team is currently organizing efforts for Wakati’s upcoming 5-year anniversary celebration on November 19th.
